To our patients, employees and community partners,
There is no higher priority for Neighborhood Health Center (NHC) than your health and safety.
We continue to monitor communications from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the Oregon Health Authority (OHA), and government agencies and have established an internal team to stay on top of the evolving COVID-19 situation.
We want you to feel confident attending your provider visits at NHC. As such, we have enhanced some of our protocols to increase the safety of our patients and staff:
All locations are cleaning all surfaces in lobbies and exam rooms and will continue to wipe down high traffic areas through the day.
Disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizer are provided for staff to use throughout the day to keep their work areas sanitized.
We are providing additional hand sanitizing options throughout the clinics for all patients, employees and partners.
NHC staff are required to stay home from work if they develop a fever, respiratory and/or flu like symptoms.
High risk patients (over 60, chronic illness, pregnant, infants) will be given the option to have a phone visit and NOT come into the clinic.
Patients are encouraged to use MyChart to communicate with their provider directly when possible to eliminate the need to come into the clinic.
To protect our dental staff and patients from potential COVID-19 exposure, we will provide emergency treatment services only on an as needed basis. If you feel you need urgent dental attention please call our clinics for an assessment.
Please note: We are NOT currently testing for COVID-19 at our clinics. Our RNs are conducting phone triage visits with patients with flu-like symptoms. Patients at high risk or who appear acutely ill are directed to an emergency department for urgent evaluation.
Rest assured, NHC is monitoring this situation closely, staying in regular contact with county, state and federal agencies and will continue to communicate updates as we navigate the COVID-19 challenges.
All of us at Neighborhood Health Center are committed to your health and wellness, and plan to take all necessary steps to ensure our clinics are clean, sanitary and safe for all.
