Dr. Arthur attended Oxford Medical School and graduated in medicine and surgery at the University of Oxford in England. She interned at Waterbury Hospital in Connecticut before moving to the Pacific Northwest to complete her psychiatric residency at OHSU in Portland. She has over 40 years of experience as a psychiatrist in private practice, at Kaiser Permanente NW region, and community mental health clinics around the metro area and the state. She has worked as a psychiatric consultant to primary care clinics in Portland, and has experience treating mental health and substance use disorders using medications, therapy and education. In her free time she enjoys gardening, flower arrangement, reading Scandinavian noir mysteries, and working on improving environmental health. She is a folk singer and composer of many songs, which celebrate nature, Earth-centered traditions, the seasons, and support all human rights (especially women’s rights).
Celeste holds a Master of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University in Addison, Illinois; and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northern Arizona University. Celeste has over 15 years of experience in a diverse array of healthcare environments to include trauma, emergency, general pediatric inpatient, and case management for women and children’s services. Most recently, she spent nine years working as a Registered Nurse in the Pediatric Emergency Department at Cardon Children’s Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona. Celeste is committed to providing compassionate and holistic care to patients and provides services in our Tanasbourne Clinic. In her personal time, she loves to do anything that involves spending time with family in the outdoors, and loves to hike and camp.
Rachel holds a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon. Prior to joining NHC and earning her Bachelor of Science degree, Rachel provided direct clinical services and health education to patients in a private dental practice as well as a skilled nursing facility as an assistant for 28 years. She has extensive experience in preventative/therapeutic dental hygiene services and restorative care for diverse populations, pregnant women health compromised patients in underserved populations. Rachel provides hygiene services in our Tanasbourne Clinic. In her personal time Rachel enjoys spending time with her friends and family, quilting, gardening, volunteering and tending to her chickens, ducks, rabbits, cats, dog and beehives.
Laura holds a Doctor of Pharmacy from Oregon State University / Oregon Health and Science University College of Pharmacy and a Bachelor of Science in Gerontology from the Leonard Davis School of Gerontology at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California. She completed her Pharmacy Practice Residency at the Warm Springs Health and Wellness Center in Warms Springs, Oregon. Laura is conversant in Spanish and has extensive experience in providing medication counseling including managing complex diabetic patients, evaluating patient’s prescription needs, prescription reconciliation as well as providing information to providers for dispensing. She has 2-years of experience as the sole pharmacist in correctional institutes in Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana. Laura provides clinical pharmacy services at the Tanasbourne Clinic.
Kristen holds a BS in Dental Health Science from Pacific University with an emphasis in public health, Associates of Science and General Studies from Portland Community College, and completed her prerequisites at Pacific University in Hillsboro, Oregon. Kristen completed her clinical internships at Chemawa Indian Health Services and Virginia Garcia Dental Clinic. Kristen has volunteered extensively with Portland area dental care programs supporting underserved, uninsured and at-risk patients throughout her career and schooling. She has been with Neighborhood Health Center since 2013 and provides Dental Hygiene services in our Tanasbourne Dental Clinic, serves as an Expanded Practice Dental Hygienist at Milwaukie High School and is an adjunct faculty for Pacific University’s Dental Hygiene students. Kristen moved here from Ketchikan, Alaska in 2007 to attend college, and fell in love with the state and vast opportunities for Dental Hygienists. She enjoys being outdoors, exploring Oregon, and spending time with friends and family.
Jonathan holds a Doctor of Dental Medicine from Oregon Health & Science University School of Dentistry and a BS in Biology from BYU, Provo, Utah. He is fluent in Spanish and practiced community health dentistry in rural New Mexico prior to joining NHC in 2013. Jonathan was named NHC Dental Director in May 2015, and provides clinical dental services in the Oregon City and Milwaukie clinics. He is also a member of the National Health Service Corp. In his personal time Jonathan enjoys spending time with his family, running, and collecting musical instruments.
Tim holds a Doctorate of Nursing Practice and Master of Science in Nursing from Arizona State University, Phoenix, Arizona, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Nevada, Reno. Tim has over 10 years of experience in healthcare, most recently as a rural Community Health Educator with the Peace Corps in Nicaragua from 2014 to 2016. Prior to joining the Peace Corps Tim provided primary care for adults and children aged 2 weeks to 104 years old, acute care for orthopedic and neuroscience patients and regularly provided mentorship to nursing students and new staff in Arizona. Tim is fluent in Spanish and provides patient care at the Tanasbourne Clinic.
Maggie holds a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Pacific University and a Doctor of Medicine from Kerman Medical Sciences University in Kerman, Iran. She is fluent in Farsi and has over 20 years of experience in the healthcare field; including10 years as a primary care physician in Iran. Maggie has experience in private practice, medical center, and emergency medicine and community health centers in Oregon. Maggie has cared for a variety of patients dealing with issues ranging from pain management, skin disorders, prenatal and postnatal care, family planning, and minor surgeries. Maggie has been a provider for Neighborhood Health Center since June 2010 caring for patients in the Tanasbourne Clinic.
Anna holds a Doctor of Medicine from Oregon Health Sciences University (OHSU) in Portland, Oregon, and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. She completed her Family Medicine Residency at OHSU Cascades East Family Medicine and is fluent in Spanish. Anna has experience in treating patients with diverse backgrounds with chronic and acute diseases, health maintenance, post-partum and newborn care, caring for patients of all ages. Anna spent 2 years in the Peace Corps teaching health in local primary and secondary schools. In her free time Anna enjoys hiking, baking and spending time with family. Anna joined NHC June 2019, caring for patients in the Tanasbourne Clinic.
Amy holds a Master of Social Work from California State University, Sacramento; and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, Davis. Amy has over 15 years of experience, mostly in the mental health field, and has worked in primary care for five years. Most of her experience is in the child and family system of care with specialization in trauma. Most recently, Amy worked as a Behavioral Health Provider, providing behavioral health services and case coordination to patients as a part of integrated care in a medical clinic setting. Amy’s passion is working with marginalized and underserved populations. She believes that integrated care is best positioned to attend to the whole patient. Outside of healthcare, Amy is a lover of the beautiful game (soccer). She enjoys spending every minute she can with her family, being outside surrounded by nature, genuine laughter, and music. Amy joined NHC in January 2020 and provides services in our Tanasbourne Clinic.
Dr. Miller holds a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Iowa College of Medicine, a Post Baccalaureate of PreMed from Iowa State University and a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Iowa State University. Dr. Miller has over 33 years of experience in the healthcare field including private practice for 30 years. Dr. Miller has been with Neighborhood Health Center since June 2010 and provides part-time pediatric services in our Tanasbourne Clinic.
Dee holds a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Nova-Southeastern University of Osteopathic Medicine in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. She completed an internship at Texas OPTI/Corpus Christi Medical Center and family medicine residency at Christus Santa Rosa Family Medicine in San Antonio, Texas. Dee has experience in providing patient centered care to underserved populations with a strong focus on preventative health for pediatric, adult and geriatric patients. She comes to NHC from Yakima Valley Farm Worker Clinic in Astoria, Oregon. Dee joined NHC in 2019 and provides patient care in the Tanasbourne Clinic. In her personal time Dee enjoys outdoor activities as well as thrifting and refurnishing.
Mo holds a Master of Science, Physician Assistant from George University, Washington DC, an Associate of Applied Science, EMS from Northern Virginia Community College, Springfield, Virginia, and a Bachelor of Science, Accounting from The American University, Washington DC. Mo has over 14 years of experience in healthcare as a Paramedic for 10 years and a Physician Assistant for 4 years. Most recently Mo provided primary care and urgent care to geriatric, adult and children at a family practice in Sherwood, Oregon, and fast track care in an emergency department in Woodbridge, Virginia. Mo is passionate about integrative or food as medicine and will be providing primary care services at the Tanasbourne Clinic.
Kary holds a Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Mt Mary University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California. She has been working with infants, young children and families in a wide variety of practice settings over the past 14 years. Prior to joining NHC Kary was in private practice consulting with pediatric facilities, mentoring staff, and teaching courses for medical professionals in the greater Los Angeles area. In addition to professional consulting, Kary has extensive experience supporting families in a variety of settings, including Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), pediatric acute care, pediatric inpatient rehab, and within the home, providing occupational performance assessment, developmental evaluations, and comprehensive feeding assessments. She specializes in family mental health as related to engagement in daily occupations, including feeding (as a board-certified lactation consultant), sleep, and development. Kary provides program development and Occupational Therapy services within pediatric primary care visits in our Tanasbourne Clinic. In her personal time Kary enjoys spending time with her family, exploring, reading, hiking, and sewing.
Lil holds a Master of Science in Nursing from Georgetown University in Washington DC and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Worcester State College in Worcester, Massachusetts. Lili has over 35 years of health care experience in healthcare field, 15 of which are in public health. She has experience providing women well-care, family planning, prenatal care and midwifery care as well as delivery room and emergency room hospital care. Lil provides services in both our new Hillsboro clinic as well as our Tanasbourne Clinic. In her personal time Lil enjoys the great northwest outdoors, reading, gardening and bee keeping.
Zach holds a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where he also completed his undergraduate Pre-Pharmacy education. Zach has over 10 years of experience working with patients and in organizations improving safe and effective medication use, implementing protocols for post-diagnostic disease state management, providing direct patient care as a member of a multidisciplinary care team, and compounding and dispensing medications. In addition to his clinical work, Zach also has experience in pharmacy education as a faculty member of Care Oregon’s Pharmacy Residency Program and previously as adjunct faculty for Pacific University School of Pharmacy. Zach is our Director of Pharmacy and provides patient care in our Tanasbourne Clinic.
Lindsay holds a Doctor of Dental Medicine and a Masters of Public Health from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Lindsay also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon. She is clinically proficient in Spanish and has experience in general, pediatric, special needs, and immunosuppressed dentistry. Prior to NHC, Lindsay most recently completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at the Bruce W. Carter VA Medical Center in Miami, Florida. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, scuba diving, kayaking, yoga, and traveling with her family.
Tove holds a Master and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston, a Master of Arts in Women’s Health from Suffolk University in Boston, Massachusetts, and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. Tove has over 10 years of experience in healthcare in roles ranging from EMT along the U.S. Mexico border in Arizona, Domestic Violence Survivor Outreach Coordinator, Community Health Worker and Registered Nurse. Most recently, Tove was a registered nurse at Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts. Tove will be practicing at the Tanasbourne clinic providing primary care and reproductive health services, and at the Hillsboro Clinic providing reproductive health services. Tove is fluent in Spanish.
Emily holds a Doctor of Medicine from Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, and a Bachelor of Arts in Human Biology from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. She completed Pediatric Residency at the University of Washington Seattle Children’s Hospital and is fluent in Spanish. Emily has experience as a primary care and pediatrics provider in multiple health centers serving predominately underserved populations. She most recently practiced at SeaMar Seattle Medical Community Health Center. In her personal time Emily enjoys hiking, yoga, camping, and water polo. Emily provides services in the Tanasbourne Clinic.
