Open and Safe for Non-Urgent and Routine Visits

NHC clinics are now open and safe for non-urgent and routine visits.

To support social distancing, NHC offers video and telephone visits for routine care. If you visit us in-clinic for an appointment, you may notice a few changes.

Your Safety is Our Priority

We are putting extra measures in place to ensure the safety of our patients and staff, including:

  • Daily temperature and symptom checks for all staff, patients, and guests
  • Adding time between appointments to allow for extra cleaning, in addition to normal sanitizing and disinfecting processes
  • Reducing physical contact between staff and patients
  • Asking patients to bring and wear a mask while at NHC clinics
  • Staff wearing masks and other personal protective equipment (PPE) when caring for patients; these include gowns, face shields and gloves when needed
  • Reducing guests in-clinic by asking patients to limit friends and family, who join at appointments

Need to make an appointment? Call 503-848-5861

If you are unable to come to the clinic, we aree happy to schedule a telemedicine or teledentist (urgent only) visit for you. When you call, be sure to tell the NHC Patient Service Representative that you would like to schedule a telemedicine or teledentist visit via phone or video.

Taking Your Temperature

As part of NHC’s COVID safety protocols, our staff and patients will be receive a temperature check as they enter the clinic.

A staff member will take your temperature, when you come in the front door for your appointment. The thermometers we use are temporal artery no-touch thermometers that take your temperature at a distance.  They are easy to use and will allow us to get an accurate reading while maintaining social distance.

We will get your permission and talk through each step as we take them.

Have questions? Reach out with any concerns or to discuss these added safety precautions ahead of your next appointment.
