This holiday season, one employee has decided to give back in a big way.

We mean it when we say our Neighborhood Health Center staff are incredibly caring and dedicated to the work they do and the populations they serve.

They are incredibly generous, too.

This year, NHC employees raised more than $5,000 to help meet the unique needs of our patients and the communities we serve through our #Proud2BNHC Employee Giving Program. These funds cover the cost of items that would greatly improve our patient’s health and wellbeing but that they otherwise couldn’t afford, like specialty care, medical supplies and devices, hygiene products, school supplies, clothing, food, diapers, and baby formula.

This holiday season, one employee has decided to give back in a big way. In honor of #GivingTuesday, Director of Development and Communications, Penny L Moore, has made a $1,000 leadership gift to our #GiveHEALTH Holiday Giving Campaign.

Penny said working for NHC has had a profound impact on what she thought she knew about healthcare and community health.

“I am in awe of the way our providers and clinic staff serve our patients with such care and compassion. Our staff are so committed and dedicated to caring for the whole patient each and every day. I feel so fortunate to have the opportunity to work for an organization that puts patient and staff needs first in all that they do, and I want to give back in a way that helps others.”
