Neighborhood Health Center Welcomes New Chief Medical Officer

Portland, Oregon, October 13, 2021 – Neighborhood Health Center (NHC) announced today its new Chief Medical Officer: Ann Tseng, MD, MBA.

NHC is a non-profit community health center that offers medical, dental, family planning/reproductive health and behavioral health services to Medicaid, Medicare and underinsured patients in the Portland metro area.

“Dr. Tseng joins us at a unique and critical moment -- as a seasoned clinical leader, in the midst of a once-in-a-lifetime pandemic, with experience serving historically marginalized populations,” said Jeri Weeks, NHC’s Chief Executive Officer.

“Dr. Tseng keeps the patient at the center of her focus. She is focused on patient centered clinical care, quality improvement, and primary care practice transformation. We are delighted to welcome her to our team,” she added.

Dr. Tseng comes to NHC from Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) where she served as Associate Professor of Family Medicine, OHSU School of Medicine and as Associate Chief Medical Officer at OHSU Hillsboro Medical Center. In this role she served as senior physician leader, providing physician oversight of outpatient operations for 18 primary and specialty care practices.

Prior to this, Dr. Tseng was the medical director at OHSU Gabriel Park, a practice of 13,500 patients in SW Portland where she supervised 18 faculty physicians in their clinical practice and 11 resident physicians in their clinical education and practice.

Dr. Tseng attained her medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine and completed her Residency in Family Medicine at New York Presbyterian - Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. Dr. Tseng obtained her Master of Business Administration (MBA), Healthcare from OHSU.
