Medical Receptionist

This position will provide exceptional and compassionate customer service to patients and visitors in a patient-centered medical home and demonstrate the value of NHC’s mission.  The Medical Receptionist will perform front office responsibilities related to delivering quality patient care in a clinical setting.

Essential job duties:

  • Greets patients and answers phones with friendly demeanor and professionalism
  • Schedules and confirms appointments, enters patient information into EHR (EPIC) by obtaining, recording, and updating demographic and financial information
  • Processes co-payments and completes daily deposit reconciliation
  • Scans and indexes documentation into medical records according to NHC policies and procedures

Education and experience:

  • This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year experience in a fast-paced customer service setting, preferably in healthcare
  • Previous EHR or EPIC experience is preferred
  • Ability to fluently speak, read, and write in Spanish is highly preferred
