Medical Receptionist

The Medical Receptionist will provide exceptional and compassionate customer service to patients and visitors in a patient-centered medical home and demonstrate the value of NHC’s mission. The Medical Receptionist will perform front office responsibilities related to delivering quality patient care in a clinical setting.

Essential job duties:

  • Welcomes patients and visitors in person or virtually and answers inquiries with professionalism
  • Accurately schedules and confirms in-person and virtual appointments, enters patient information by obtaining, recording, and updating demographic and financial information into EHR (EPIC)
  • Processes co-payments and completes daily deposit reconciliation
  • Scrubs patient charts daily

Education and experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • At least one-year of experience in a fast-paced customer service setting required, preferably in healthcare
  • Previous EPIC or EHR experience is preferred
  • Bilingual English and Spanish proficiency is highly preferred
