This position treats and advises patients on physical and mental health; prescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions; and performs minor procedures and in-house lab work, as needed.

Essential job duties:

• Observes, assesses, and records symptoms, reactions, and progress by utilizing knowledge of modern methods and techniques of diagnosing and treating a variety of diseases and injuries
• Provides accurate, timely, and complete documentation in patient records including providing appropriate code level and diagnosis of patient visits using coding standards
• Provides evening and weekend consultation on-call as needed
• Displays sensitivity to the populations served

Education and experience:

• Doctoral degree (MD/DO) or equivalent from an accredited school of medicine
• Completion of Family Practice Residency or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience working with underserved populations in a community health center preferred
• Active and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Oregon and Board Certification
• Active DEA license
• Spanish fluency highly preferred
