Certified Medical Assistant in Call Center
This position will provide exceptional and compassionate customer service to patients and visitors in a patient-centered medical home and demonstrate the value of NHC’s mission during care. This position will perform front- and back-office responsibilities related to delivering quality patient care in an administrative setting.
Essential job duties:
- Process medication refills upon request per patient calls
- Give lab results within MA scope of practice
- Answer any clinical calls that may come into the call center
- Fax any imaging referrals upon caller request
- Schedule any appointments following the scheduling guideline
- Answer any clinical questions Patient Service Representatives might have
Education and experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program required
- Previous experience and/or training as a Medical Assistant preferred
- Experience in primary care or family medicine preferred
- Previous EPIC or EHR experience is preferred
- Ability to speak, read, and write fluently in Spanish highly preferred
