Certified Medical Assistant in Call Center

This position will provide exceptional and compassionate customer service to patients and visitors in a patient-centered medical home and demonstrate the value of NHC’s mission during care. This position will perform front- and back-office responsibilities related to delivering quality patient care in an administrative setting.

Essential job duties:

  • Process medication refills upon request per patient calls
  • Give lab results within MA scope of practice
  • Answer any clinical calls that may come into the call center
  • Fax any imaging referrals upon caller request
  • Schedule any appointments following the scheduling guideline
  • Answer any clinical questions Patient Service Representatives might have

Education and experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program required
  • Previous experience and/or training as a Medical Assistant preferred
  • Experience in primary care or family medicine preferred
  • Previous EPIC or EHR experience is preferred
  • Ability to speak, read, and write fluently in Spanish highly preferred
