This position is responsible for providing clinical support to providers and working in a patient-centered medical home to provide quality care to patients.

Essential job duties:

• Room patients and confirm reason for visit, review current medications, verify allergies, and take and document vitals
• Perform procedures within scope of responsibility as directed by provider
• Perform phlebotomy for lab draws, as directed by provider
• Respond to patient phone calls and return calls to patients to obtain more and information and route appropriately

Education and experience:

• Completion of an accredited medical assistant program
• One year of related experience and/or training
• Experience in primary care preferred
• Previous EPIC or EHR experience required
• Certification through a nationally recognized Medical Assistant Certification program, such as AAMA, NCCT, or CCMA
• Ability to fluently speak, read, and write in Spanish is highly preferred
