Assistant Clinic Manager

The Assistant Clinic Manager supports the Primary Care Clinic Manager in the effective and efficient management of the clinic to assure optimal care and customer service is delivered to all patients. The Assistant Clinic Manager facilitates a collaborative approach to compassionate and integrated care, partnering with the clinic manager, support staff, and providers to assist with effective and proactive management of day-to-day operations, such as general facility management and patient flow.

Essential job duties:

  • Assists and collaborates with the clinic manager to maintain an operating environment that assures effective, efficient, safe operations of the clinic and responds to patient and provider needs
  • Monitors and supports clinic flow, regularly checking in with all clinic teams to help identify and problem solve areas preventing smooth patient flow
  • Understands provider productivity needs and assists the clinic manager in monitoring and analyzing patient appointment schedules to ensure the schedules reflect the ability to provide patient care in a timely manner
  • Evaluates metrics and department performance to prepare and review operational reports, schedules, and budgets to ensure accuracy and efficiency

Education and experience:

  • At least two years of experience managing or supervising staff in a primary care or other healthcare setting
  • Associates degree in business, healthcare administration, or related field preferred
  • Any combination of experience and training that would provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying
