At NHC Canby Medical Clinic, you will receive patient-centered, community-minded care no matter your ability to pay or current state of wellness. This NHC medical clinic in Canby, Oregon offers team-based care for patients of all ages.

After Hours Advice Line

A nurse triage service is available after hours for patients in need of clinical advice.  Call (503) 213-3800.

For prescription refills of established non-narcotic medications, please call back during business hours. Please note it may take up to 72 hours to process a medication refill. Any new medications or narcotic medications require an in-person visit with your provider before filling. If you cannot wait for a prescription refill, please visit an urgent care facility in your area.

How to Find Us

This clinic is on the south side of the main road into town (Pacific Hwy/SW First Ave) and is located in the rear of the Hi-Way Marketplace shopping center. The clinic is straight back, on the left next to Haskell Family Dental.

Taking the Bus?

There are multiple bus routes nearby, with the closest stop being the Canby Area Transit (CAT) for the 3X Canby Bus, Route 99X Bus, City Circulator, and Molalla to Canby Bus.

Transportation Assistance

If transportation is an issue, healthcare transportation assistance may be available. Call the clinic or talk to a receptionist for help. Some insurance plans cover the cost of transportation to and from the clinic. Bus passes, gas cards, or other reimbursements for travel to and from the clinics, may also be available.

James Boyd, MD

Education:  M.D.  University of Colorado School of Medicine, Denver, CO  |  Residency in Internal Medicine at Legacy Emanuel Hospital and Health Center Program, Portland, OR

Experience:  Over 10 years of experience in primary care medicine, including founding a medical clinic in Lakewood, CO, as well as board certification in Internal Medicine with additional training in family planning

At NHC:  I provide primary medical care for patients of all backgrounds, regardless of current state of health

What I do for Fun:  Hike, cycle, and sail

Robert Kelly, LPC, CADC-I

Education:  M.A.  Chicago School of Professional Psychology

Experience:  Over five years working in outpatient clinics, providing counseling services to individuals and groups, and conducting screening and assessments for diagnosis and level of care

At NHC:  I work with patients to develop behavioral health treatment plans and provide support to help them achieve their health goals.

My Clinic:  Canby and Milwaukie Medical

What I do for Fun:  Travel with my family and friends, explore new restaurants, attend live music, watch horror movies, and read long novels in a big chair with my old Chihuahua

Sakura Porter, PharmD, BCACP

Education:  PharmD.  Oregon State University, Corvallis, OR | PharmD.  Oregon Health & Science University, Portland, OR | Board-Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist

Experience:  More than six years of experience counseling and advising patients, developing treatment protocols, and working with patients for medication reviews, patient education, and disease state management

My Clinics:  Beaverton and Canby

What I do for Fun:  Foster rescue dogs – over 25 from the Navajo reservation where I last worked (I adopted the first two dogs I fostered named Kei-chan and Yumi!)

Nathan Savage-Lee, MSN, APRN, FNP

Education:  M.S.N.  Pennsylvania State University, University Park, PA

Experience:  Over seven years of experience providing RN services and managing care for complex cancer patients, as well as providing hospice and end of life care

At NHC:  I provide patient-centered primary care for diverse populations of patients of all ages

My Clinic:  Canby

What I do for Fun:  Read, cook, photography, explore the outdoors, and hang out with my son Ronan
